Squeezing playdough, zipping coats, using tweezers to pick up items or to craft with, buttoning up clothes to put on a baby doll, arranging mini cars and stacking small blocks are fun ways to build strength in little hands. This will get them ready for writing or using scissors. These things are done daily when children begin their day at Gloryland.  We pay close attention to how children are doing these tasks.  During center time teaches have one on one times with the children to see how they are utilizing their fine motor skills and work to help strengthen them.
